After starting at the Academy (NHIBS) in Antwerp, I ended up in the business world in the Netherlands. Years of experience in secretarial, administrative and logistical areas, among other things, give me the opportunity to expertly respond to the design of house styles and logos.

In recent years, I have started painting again with full energy. This was preceded by a number of years of intensive training, workshops, drawing and painting lessons. By using different materials (watercolour, oil paint, acrylic, mixed media, etc.) and two- and three-dimensional techniques, I try to let the images speak in my own way. Since 1996, I was a member of the painting circle “De Dordtse Zaterdagschilders.” This (now defunct) circle regularly organised exhibitions.

In 1999 I won the logo design competition of the Innovatie Coöperatie Cromstrijen and with my painting, based on the poem by Ivo de Wijs “Verdwalen in het jaar”, I became the regional winner of the Talens Paletprijs, after which an exhibition in the Traverse in Utrecht followed.

In 2000/2001 I completed the training courses graphic designer and digital preparer new media and web design in order to make an interesting and necessary mix of design possible. For the Hoekse Waard District of the K.N.S.B. I designed the logo, house style and skating clothing. In 2004 I received an honourable mention in the Abstract category of the national Atelier competition (Acrylic). For several years I provided drawing and painting courses for children aged 9-12 at SISKW. In 2005 their work was exhibited in the library and an exhibition of their paintings and drawings was held during the opening of the SISKW building in the new building. I have participated in various group exhibitions at different locations and had solo exhibitions at Galerie O.O. in Rotterdam, the Budget Hotel in Dordrecht and the Town Hall of Strijen and ‘s-Gravendeel. In June 2007 an exhibition in Antwerp, Hof ter Schelde and currently at Horos in Soest and recently in the library of ‘s-Gravendeel. Very recently I became a member of the Hoeksche Waardse Kunstenaars.
